This adhesive selector provides you with a rough idea which adhesive families would be possible for your application and what guidelines you should follow. It helps to define if a suitable adhesive exists for your application or not. It will not give you a list of commercial adhesives which you could directly use, but rather a class of adhesive families which could be interesting to investigate further. In addition, general guidelines for pre-treatment, bond design and tests & standards are provided. This information can be used by product designers or engineers to make a rough selection of possible joining technologies and subsequently contact an adhesive expert to make a final selection.
Note that the selection of suitable adhesives and the information given is based on typical data. Adhesive formulation is often modified to improve certain properties (and lower other characteristics). Therefore also other adhesives, not included in this list, might be possible as well (and maybe better suited). Always check the properties of the specific adhesive that will be used and consult an adhesive expert before final adhesive selection.
